We will be CLOSED on MONDAY the 26th January
We are a small studio and gallery in the seaside town of Shanklin on the Isle of Wight with a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Alongside our own range of contemporary works we have a good selection of modern British and marine paintings by some nationally renowned artists as well as those by Island 'Old Masters' such as Cavendish Morton and Deryck Foster.

A number of original sketchbooks by Norman Wilkinson as well as books relating to J Samuel White & Co provide an important reference source and inspiration for studio work

There are a small number of paintings in the gallery which form a permanent collection and provide a back drop for studio work. These are exhibited on a rotation basis and are marked with a blue dot.

We have a collection of about 20 pieces of Samuel Saunders pottery on display. These were made between 1926 and 1938 on the Isle of Wight

We are always interested in adding to our collection of ephemera relating to J Samuel White and Elliott Turbomachinery.

Engaging with maritime history. This medal group was awarded to Ernest John Berry who was killed on HMS Broke during the Battle of Jutland. HMS Broke was built at J Samuel White and Co. in Cowes in 1914.
